Activities and Events

While the schedule of events may seem somewhat imprecise, most of our projects are in remote locations and require flexibility in planning to accommodate transportation, supplies, the weather and more. As details solidify, this page will be updated. We highly recommend that those interested in  participating in any of these activities email hartpathart@gmail.com as early as possible both for planning and to get the most timely updates.

2026

May 18 or 19: Join the Forest Service workday at Snyder to buck firewood, scrape paint, fix a fence etc. We are hoping to augment lots of young workers who can do the heavy lifting.

June 27: (date to be announced) We will take a short hike to West Fork Cabin (just over a mile) to clean and oil the building. We want to make sure there are new bed protectors and there isn’t any trash. It’s remarkably beautiful so we invite ANYONE who has never seen the cabin. This will be a good project to carpool.

August 8: We have BINGO at the Eagles in downtown Bonners Ferry. There will be monetary prizes and generally the cash is supplemented with huckleberries or other prizes. Rumor has it that another quilt will be raffled off. It starts at 5 pm and goes until the prizes are all gone.

August 15: Our one and only open house this year at Snyder. It will run from 10 a.m. until 3pm. The museum has expanded, the grounds are lovely and we would really like to have the community join us.
